Malayalam superstar Mohanlal turned 64 on May 21, and social media is filled with wishes from his friends, industry colleagues, and fans. Mammootty was one of the first celebrities to wish Lalettan on his birthday. Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is currently working with him on ‘Lucifer 2,’ shared a photo from the film sets to wish him. His fans are leaving no stone unturned, sharing photos and videos to celebrate his special day.

Kamal Haasan wished  on his birthday on May 21. He wrote, “Leading man for forty years among a very critical and discerning audience. 400 films? Some might exclaim in disbelief. I, on the contrary, am looking forward to him breaking Mr. Prem Nazir’s record of 500 films. On his birthday, that is my best wish for him. Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty had the sweetest birthday wish for  “Happy Birthday to the one and only, a fascination for every Malayalee and every Indian cinema lover… #HappyBirthday,” his post read.

On the work front, was last seen in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban,’ which received negative reviews from critics and audiences alike. He will make his directorial debut with ‘Barroz.’

Additionally, he will appear in a cameo in Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Kannappa.’ Mohanlal also has ‘L2: Empuraan’ and ‘Vrushabha’ in the pipeline.
