Camila Cabello has openly shared her experience of losing her virginity, describing it as a “beautiful” moment with a well-known dating expert. The “Havana” singer, now 27, recounted her first relationship with Matthew Hussey, a dating coach famous for his appearances on ITV’s This Morning, whom she met on the set of The Today Show.

Reflecting on her past during an interview with Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast, Camila revealed that she was single and hadn’t had any sexual partners until she met Hussey. “I had my first relationship at that time. I was outside [‘The Today Show’ studios] where they had the TV with the scripts. We went to dinner that night, and that was my first relationship. It was late for my first relationship. I was 20. That was my first time having sex,” she shared. “First lovemaking was at 20, 21… It was literally lovemaking. The singer later ended her relationship with Matthew, who is now married to Audrey Le Strat, in 2019 after more than a year of dating. Following their breakup, Camila went on to date singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes for two years. Despite the end of her first relationship, Camila still holds a great deal of respect for Matthew, describing him as a “great partner” during her conversation with Dax Shepard. “He was a really great person,” she shared. “It was the perfect first relationship. His 2013 book, *Get The Guy: Learn Secrets of the Male Mind to Find the Man You Want and the Love You Deserve*, has made him a prominent figure in the dating world. He claims to have helped millions of women achieve their dream love lives and has endorsements from Hollywood celebrities like Eva Longoria, Drew Barrymore, Rebel Wilson, Ryan Seacrest, and Tyra Banks.

 

In 2017, the Essex-born dating guru appeared on *Good Morning Britain* to share his insights on finding love. He stated, “No one comes to me saying they want to attract an average guy; everyone wants someone extraordinary. To attract extraordinary, you must be extraordinary. I believe in something called unique pairings. If a woman meets a guy who’s just a gentleman, he becomes really boring. If a guy is just fun, he’s hard to pin down and unreliable. If a guy is charming and a gentleman but has an edge, that’s the guy people get addicted to. It’s two unique qualities you don’t usually find together.”
