LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The No. 4 UCLA women’s golf team delivered a remarkable performance in the second round of the NCAA Las Vegas Regional at Spanish Trail Country Club on Tuesday, shooting a five-under 283.

Currently, the Bruins hold the third position overall at two-under, trailing No. 9 Arkansas by 14 strokes, who currently lead the leaderboard after day two. Arkansas maintains a four-stroke advantage over second-place Purdue. Lottie Woad from Florida State leads the individual standings at 10-under after carding a second-round 67.

Two Bruins achieved scores under par on Tuesday, with Zoe Antoinette Campos leading the charge with a stunning seven-under 65. Campos, who started the day at even-par for the tournament, produced the best round of the tournament thus far with her -7 performance. She completed the day with seven birdies, avoiding any bogeys or worse, and notably birdied four consecutive holes from the fourth through the seventh. Additionally, she secured birdies on holes 10, 13, and 15. With her exceptional round of 65, she advanced ten places to third overall in the standings, trailing the lead by just three strokes heading into the final round.

Meghan Royal made a significant leap up the leaderboard for the Bruins on day two. Royal delivered an impressive performance, shooting a two-under 70 on Tuesday, which propelled her 21 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 35th place in the tournament. Her round included five birdies, three bogeys, and 10 pars.

Caroline Canales finished the day with a two-over score, leaving her tied for 21st place on the leaderboard. Kate Villegas posted a five-over score on Tuesday, bringing her total to +3 for the tournament, and she is currently tied for 25th place. Natalie Vo carded a two-over 74 in her round on Tuesday, placing her at seven-over for the tournament and tied for 47th place overall.
